Amotekun Arrests Tomato Trader After Abducting, Raping Ondo Woman

19-year-old Ibrahim Sani has been arrested by Amotekun Corps for allegedly kidnapping and raping a woman in Akure, Ondo state capital.

The state Commander of Amotekun corps, Chief Adetunji Adeleye, during a parade of the suspect, said the teenager had participated in different abductions for ransoms in the state.

He said Sani and three other members of his group kidnapped and gang-raped their latest victim, which led to his arrest.

“This suspect is highly notorious. He participated in many kidnap cases in the state,” he added.

While reiterating the commitment of the corps to fighting criminal activities in Ondo State, Adeleye said Amotekun would always work with other security agencies to rid the state of criminals.

He urged residents to support the corps with information that would help in tackling crime.

The suspect, who claimed to be a tomato trader from Niger State, said he went into crime when he had no money.

He confessed to have raped the victim together with three members of his gang.
