The calls for the sack of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as manager has made Manchester United legend, Peter Schmeichel, to react angrily.
The Red Devils go into the international break having picked up just one point from their last two league games at Old Trafford.
This follows a 1-1 draw with Everton and 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa.
The results have further heaped more pressure on Solskjaer, who is yet to win silverware with United.
Schmeichel has now hit out at supporters whose patience is wearing thin.
The former goalkeeper said that calls for Solskjaer to be sacked are “ridiculous” and asked whether they want “another van Gaal or Mourinho”.
“I think it’s ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous. Do they want another [Louis] Van Gaal or another [Jose] Mourinho? What do they want?
“It’s been tried, bringing in the so-called big-name managers and they don’t have the same care and attention to detail in the youth and development and DNA of the club as Ole has.
“That period before him [Solskjaer], a lot of players came in and a lot of coaches left, so everything needs to be rebuilt. I hope people understand that it takes time,” Schmeichel told ITV Sport.
