Amotekun Commences Training For 360 Recruits In Osun

The training of the first batch of successful candidates for the Osun State Security Network Agency, Osun Amotekun has taken off at the Wole Soyinka Government High School, Ejigbo, Osun State.

During the inspection of the new recruits on Monday, the Chairman of the Governing Board of Osun State Security Network Agency, Brigadier General Isah Aderibigbe stated that exceptional instructors would train the recruits to discharge their duties as expected, adding that members of the Amotekun corps would be deployed for immediate operation after their training.

While charging the recruits to obey all instructions, General Aderibigbe expressed hope that after the training, the recruits would become persons of quality who would use the expertise learnt in camp to protect the lives and properties of citizens in the State.

The Corp Commander, Brigadier General Bashir Adewinbi warned criminal elements using Osun State as a safe haven to vacate because the corps would not take criminals activities lightly again.

Adewinbi called on the residents of the state to be rest assured as the new intake of the Amotekun corps after training were duty bound to ensure they provide a security blanket for them.

The Camp Commandant and Chief Instructor, Captain Ajibolu Fatai, had earlier advised the recruits to take their training serious because knowledge acquired during training would be useful on the field.

He disclosed to them that after their training, they were expected to counter any security challenge in the state.

The Osun State Security Network Agency had announced last week that it will commence training for 360 recruits out of which 90 women were recruited.

The new intakes are expected to do their passing out parade on Saturday 4th of September, 2021.
