Police Arrest Kidnap Suspect, Recover Two AK-47 Rifles, Other Ammunitions

 

 

 

A suspected kidnapper, armed robber, and gunrunner in Kogi State, identified as Mohammed Bako has been arrested by the Police.

 

 

Bako was arrested by men of the Kogi State Police command in a stop and search operations along Idah-Anyigba road on 12th August 2021.

 

 

In a statement issued to DAILY POST on Friday morning by the Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO), DSP William Ovye Aya said the suspect was arrested in a commercial vehicle with two (2) AK-47 rifles, 41 rounds of ammunition, one (1) locally made Baretta Pistol, 6.7 MM ammunition hidden in a sack.

According to Aya, the suspect who hails from Koton -Karfe area of Kogi State had confessed ownership of the arms and ammunition.

 

“Investigation is being intensified. The suspect will be arraigned in court on completion of the investigation.
