The Olowu of Kuta in Ayedire local government area of Osun State, HRM Oyelude Makama, has received award of excellence from Elegosi of Egosi Kingdom, Oba Daniel Adefila Dada.
The monarch, who has been a playing key role in ensuring peace in Nigeria by calling on well meaning Nigerians to support our security agents, was the star of the show today.
The Elegosi in Council under the rulership of Oba Daniel Adefila Dada, who honored the Monarch, said they presented him the award, to appreciate his service to humanity.
Also, the leader of the delegation, High Chief James Owolabi, Oloto oF Egosi, extolled the monarch for his kind gesture as he pray for long life for him.
“Kabiyesi, we have been following your activities for a while and we concluded that king like you needs to be appreciated.”
“In recognition of your service to humanity and commitment to ensuring there’s peace in our society, the Elegosi in Council in Kwara State, under the rulership of HRM, Oba Daniel Adefila Dada, today presented an award to you sir.”
“We pray that may the Almighty God continue to strengthen you even to do more to humanity. Kabiyesi, we are happy and proud to associate with you.”, he said.
In his acceptance speech, Oba Makama appreciated the gesture and award bestowed on him.
He assured his commitment to do more to the humanity.
“The purpose of our being alive is to help humanity. As for me, I will continue to strive for a better society where sons and daughters of nobody will become somebody.”
In the delegation are; High Chief James Owolabi, Oloto oF Egosi, High Chief Adeniyi Azeez Joseph, Onigemo of Egosi, High Chief Lamidi Adeleye, Olukosi of Egosi, High Chief Rapheal Adegboyega Ashaolu, Olukotun of Egosi and Otunba Olatunji Olasunkanmi Sarafadeen, Secretary to the Elegosi of Egosi kingdom.
Egosi is a town under Oke Ero Local Government in Kwara State.
