Amotekun Officer, 2 others shot dead as Gunmen hit Ondo

At least three persons, one of who was reported to be an operative of the Amotekun security network have shot Dead by gunmen suspected to be cultists in Ondo town of Ondo west local government area in Ondo state on Friday.

The suspects, who reportedly put on a uniform with inscription of DSS came to the house of one Seun Akinsiku, popularly known as Shewen at Oke Agunla in Ondo around 6 o’clock and killed him.

According to an eyewitness, the suspects shot Seun dead, just as he came out of the house, and as they were leaving, they also killed an officer of Amotekun and another man, whose identity is still unknown as of press time.

The eyewitness said though the victim did not put on the uniform of Amotekun, he was with other operatives attacked by the suspects.

It was however gathered that the killing is suspected to be a reprisal attack between two cult groups.
