Oyetola Didn’t Violate Any Law Over Local Council Chairmen’s Appointment – Omipidan

Ismail Omipidan, the Spokesman to the state governor of Osun, Gboyega Oyetola, has cleared air on the controversial local council Chairmen’s appointment, says the Osun state government has not violated any law over the fresh appointment of local government affairs in the state.

Recalled that on Monday, the governor swore in the newly-appointed Local Government Caretaker Committees in all the local government areas, local council development areas, area councils and administrative offices, in the state.

Omipidan made this known, while responding to questions from journalists at the monthly edition Media Parley organised by the members of Osun Online Media Practitioners Association, said it is not true that the government had flouted the laws guiding Adminstration of Local Government by appointing Caretaker Committees, noting that “as far as Local Government is concerned in Osun, Oyetola didn’t violate any law.”

He discredited the word, ‘aberration’ noting that “anything that is covered by law can not be regarded as an aberation in any sense”
