Osun: Residents Should Not Panic Over Thuggery, Beggers Activities – Oyetola’s Spokesperson, Omipidan Assures

Ismail Omipidan, the Chief Press Secretary to the Osun state governor has stated that the Osun state government is highly dedicated to ensuring lives and properties of the residents in the state.

 

 

In his word; Osun state government is working hand to hand with all security operatives in making sure that the Osun residents life is not endangered.

 

 

Omipidan revealed this while addressing the Osun Online Media Practitioners’ Association (OOMPA) during the second edition of their monthly event, he was the OOMPA guest in this month’s programme held on Saturday.

 

 

When he was asked about the issue of insecurity, thuggery and beggars in the state, especially the capital city. The Governor’s spokesperson said, that the state government is working efficiently to make sure that Osun state become unlivable for criminals.

He made it known that the peaceful atmosphere that Osun state is enjoying is due to the unrelent effort of the government, due to this most of the criminals that used to commit nuisance and criminality in the state has fled.

 

 

Security and welfarism is part of the essential parts in governance, and the Oyetola administration is not taking it with levity.

 

 

Also, he was asked about the plan of the government towards the issue of street beggars that keep increasing in number everyday.

 

 

“If we will be sincere, the number of street beggars in Osun state is relatively minimal compared to some other states in the country, We should all remember that there are some people that have turned begging to culture. No matter what you give them they will never stop begging while there are some that are ready to stop begging if they are given any little money, the government will find something to do about it, he said”.
