Plateau United Fans Attack, Injure Enyimba Players After Goalless Draw In Jos

 

 

Plateau United Football fans on Sunday, June 27, attacked and injured some players of Enyimba, in the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, game which held in Jos.

 

 

VAM news has gathered that the incident happened after the visitors (Enyimba players) held home side Plateau United to a goalless draw in Jos, in a match-day 29 fixture on Sunday.

 

 

The Abia State Government on Sunday evening posted the still picture of one of the players who was seriously injured during the attack on its official Facebook page.

 

 

“Please what type of football league will allow this to happen merely because the visiting team got a draw?”, the post read.

 

 

Pictures indicated that defender Danladi Timothy and goalkeeper Sabirou Bassa-Djeri sustained wounds following the attack.
