Banning Of Twitter Is Unpatriotic, It Is A Personal Desire Equated To National Desire – Rep Bamidele Salam

 

The Honourable representing Ede, Ejigbo, Egbedore federal constituency in the House of Representatives in Abuja, Hon. Bamidele Salam, has showed his view about the ban of Twitter by the Federal government of Nigeria.

He said the banning of Twitter is a big mistake which the FG supposed not to ever make.

Bamidele Salam was the guest in Osun Online Media Practitioners Association (OOMPA), media parley in this month edition, which is the first of it’s kind held on 21st of June 2021. The event is planned to be holding every month and shall be featuring the dignitaries of the society.

During the parley, Hon. Bamidele Salam was asked about his opinion on the banning of Twitter by the Federal government.

 

He regarded the decision of banning Twitter by the Federal government as a very wrong decision and described it as unpatriotic; a personal desire which is equated to national desire.

 

“There are lot of things that have been affected by the ban of Twitter, there are lot of people, especially among the youths that depend on Twitter and see it as their source of living, rendering one or more or services and making money from it, but now they are rendered jobless with the ban”, he said.
