Ismail Danbaba: Nasarawa lawmaker kidnapped in Kaduna

The representative of Nasarawa Central in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Ismail Danbaba, has been abducted.

He was ambushed Saturday evening in Sanga Local Government of Kaduna State.

The legislator was reportedly on his way to Jos, Plateau, for a Legislative workshop scheduled for Sunday.

Chairman, Committee on information, Muhammed Omadefu, who confirmed the incident.

The kidnappers have contacted the family and demanded ransom payment.

Following the incident, former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani lamented the spate of insecurity on Nigerian roads.

“Ahmed Gulak killed in Imo and a Nasarawa lawmaker heading towards Kaduna from Akwanga kidnapped.

“Road travels in some parts of the country have become a dangerous expedition and a hellish experience”, he tweeted.
