Police Officer Unconsciously Fall From Patrol Car, Dies On The Spot

 

A police Constable, identified as Emmanuel Walubengo, who was attached to Field Force Unit (FFU) Uganda has been confirmed dead after falling off a speeding police patrol vehicle.

The accident happened at Labong-ogali trading Centre along Awer-Amuru Districts headquarters road in Amuru Sub County, on Tuesday morning.

 

According to an eye witness, Jimmy Opolot, confided to this reporter that the accident occurred after Constable David Ocheng who was driving the ill-fated car, registration number UP 5769 attached to Elegu Police Station, lost control after hitting a pothole.

While he was trying to regain control of the vehicle, PC Walubengo fell off and died on the spot, Jimmy added.

 

PC Walubengo’s body was taken to St Mary’s hospital Lacor pending postmortem.

 

Mr David Ongom Mudong, the Aswa River region police spokesperson, confirmed the incident and said the scene was visited by traffic officers as investigations continue.

He said the case was registered at Amuru central police station under vide TAR 39/201 Single Serious.
