The Oluwo of Iwo HRM Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi has stated it today in a TVC programme called ‘Your View’ that war or secession is not the solution to Nigeria’s problem.
He said the main thing that put Nigeria in this mess that it is now is the lack of adequate law, maintenance of law and implementation of law.
He said it is very respectful for Nigeria to remain as one like this. Nigeria shouldn’t break apart, but all the problems facing Nigeria as a country must be attended to now as a matter of urgency because Nigeria is at the verge of war.
The Politicians have spoiled the youths future with their greediness and their unethical conduct. The youth have been pushed to the wall and in no time they may start putting law into their hands which will eventually lead to anarchy and emergence of war.
About the people agitating for Oodua nation that are saying the Fulani people are the perpetrators. They should be cautioned because no tribe have monopoly of criminality and also no tribe is free of criminality, he said.
His Royal Majesty Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi advocate that Nigeria should become a police state. Which means that more people need to be recruited into the Nigeria defence agencies.
Apart from the security reason, they it will also serve as employment opportunity for the youths. He said by doing this, the security network will be able to cover Nigeria totally and expand the security to all its borders for proper surveillance and monitoring.
He mentioned it that those bandits and terrorist groups terrorising all African countries now are remnant of Gadaffi militants.
The reason why there are more terrorists in Nigeria now is because our borders are not adequately secured. And this make it easy for the terrorists to penetrate into Nigeria and start terrorising the country.
Once they enter our country the first place they go is the bush. When they reach the bush, they will meet the Fulanis and tell them that they don’t come to harm them.
They will brainwash the Fulanis that have been left unattended to in the bush by the Nigeria government. They will present themselves like Messiah to the Fulanis.
After they have build cordial relationship with them, they will now tell them their initial plans. They will present the plans to them like something good.
After that they willstart recruiting the youth, imparting barbaric knowledge in them and giving they arms to cause chaos and destructions. Mind you “terrorism is attractive to the jobless people”.
As a matter of fact, if we want to defeat Insecurity, we must employ some Fulanis as Informants. Nigeria insecurity problem shouldn’t be stereotype to any tribe. We need to be logical in tackling it without any sentiment.
Some people that are calling for war, which war have they experienced? Do they think war is a good thing? They are saying our forefathers fought war in the olden days. Do they want to compare this period to the olden days. Is Kiriji war a war?
“Now that there are many sophisticated weapons”. We shouldn’t consider war or secession as the solution to the challenges facing Nigeria presently at all.
The only solution to Nigeria problem is functional law. Because that’s what we are lacking that make it appear to us as if our problem can’t be solved.
We need a law that will be functional in all ramifications. A law that can punish the offenders.
He stated that no country can develop without functional laws. It is true that we have laws but to what extent has it been implemented?
By the time people are seeing it that law is being efficiently executed. When people start seeing scape goats, they will stop all their misconducts.
Because they will know that if they are arrested and vindicated for their allleged offences, their is inevitable penalty for them to face, they will start being ethical in their doings.
