Pensioners protest 35-month unpaid entitlements in Lagos — Report

Retirees under the aegis of the Nigerian Union of Pensioners, representing various agencies including NITEL, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, and Nigerian Railway Corporation, on Monday took to the streets protesting their unpaid entitlements.

It was gathered that the entitlements are up to 35 months’ pension arrears, and non-payment of the N35,000 palliative.

The aggrieved retirees also called on the Federal Government to give a specific time for the payment of their entitlements, even as they decried the untold hardship they suffer daily.
