Bankole Akinselure Sympathizes Ondo Residents Over Flooding, Calls for Climate Responsibility

In the wake of the devastating floods that recently affected some communities in Idanre, Ondo Kingdom, Akure South and other communities in the state, Hon BANKOLE Akinselure, the vice chairman of Idanre local government has expressed his heartfelt sympathy for the victims and to the Ondo state government.

His message resonates with urgency and compassion, highlighted the pressing need for all sundries in the state to come together in solidarity during these challenging time.

The floods in some affected area of the State had left many families displaced, homes and properties worth billions destroyed, and communities in despair. Hon. Akinselure noted that natural disasters like this serve as a stark reminder of the increasing frequency and severity of climate-related events, which are often exacerbated by climate change.

In his address, Akinselure emphasizes that it is crucial for individuals, communities, and governments to recognize the gravity of the situation and take immediate action to mitigate the impacts of climate change.
