Youths on Tuesday stormed the streets of Osogbo, the Osun State capital to voice their frustrations over the country’s economic challenges.

 

The demonstrators who were seen carrying placards with different inscriptions called on President Bola Tinubu to reinstate the fuel subsidy.

 

This, they said was to help ease the rising cost of living, particularly the sharp increase in food prices.

 

Starting at the Nelson Mandela Freedom Park, Old Garage, the protesters marched through key areas of the city, including Oke-Fia, Dada Estate, and Dele Yes Sir, following Oba Adesoji Aderemi Way toward Ogo-Oluwa and concluding at the Olaiya flyover junction.

Throughout the procession, participants chanted solidarity songs to amplify their demands, while security personnel accompanied them to maintain peace and order.

 

The October 1 protest, dubbed #FearlessInOctober, is an extension of the #EndBadGovernance demonstrations held from August 1 to 10, driven by the widespread economic hardship affecting many Nigerians.
