The Nigerian U15 boys Future Eagles have suffered a setback in their quest to practical in the UEFA U-16 development tournament in Spain as the Spanish Embassy has denied them visas.
The development was disclosed through an official statement issued by the Nigeria Football Federation via its official channels on Monday.
NFF wrote, “Players and officials of the Nigeria U15 team, Future Eagles, have been denied visas by the Spanish Embassy and will therefore not be travelling to take part in the UEFA U16 Development Tournament starting on Friday.”
Earlier scheduled to depart on Tuesday for Spain, the Future Eagles were billed to compete against formidable opponents including Belgium on Friday, April 12 (8pm), Italy on Sunday, April 14 (8pm), and England on Wednesday, April 17 (1pm).
