VAM News Update

So-Safe Corps, an Ogun State Government-owned security outfit has sacked one of its officers, Yusuf Sunday Adeboye over alleged stealing.

The security outfit said Adeboye stole a series of items and cash from the residence he was deployed to in Abeokuta as a security officer.

This was disclosed in a statement by the agency’s Director of Information and Public Relations, Moruf Yusuf, on Friday.

According to him, Adeboye was dismissed Thursday “for his involvement in a stealing case that took place in the apartment where he was posted at Onibukun Area of Obantoko in Abeokuta.”

Yusuf noted that the owner of the apartment had complained about some missing items worth a lot of money.

“The said development had compelled the agency to carry out aggressive investigation which led to the arrest of Adeboye, one of the officers attached to the beat, on November 21. He later confessed that he truly committed the crime,” he stated.

The Corps Spokesman explained that the client had accepted that the dismissed officer return all the stolen items.

“The general public is hereby advised to desist from relating with the dismissed Adeboye Yusuf Sunday as an officer of the agency, whoever associates with him, does so is at his/her own peril.

“So-Safe will not condone any act that can make the good people of the state to lose trust in its excellent security service delivery for the state.
