Six reportedly die as passenger bus rams into truck in Ogun

Six passengers reportedly died when the bus they were travelling in rammed into a truck at Car Park C, opposite the Redeemed Christian Church of God on Lagos/Ibadan Expressway, Ogun State on Tuesday.

 

According to an eyewitness, the Mazda bus with registration number EPE 440 YG with 15 passengers while at a very high speed rammed into the truck which was making a u-turn on the road.

 

An eyewitness told officials of Ogun Traffic Enforcement Agency Compliance (TRACE) that immediately the truck driver saw what happened, he ran away.

 

However, five males and one female passenger inside the bus died instantly.

It was also gathered that six other passengers on the bus got injured.

 

The rescue team which comprises of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Police and TRACE deposited the injured victims in a nearby hospital for treatment.
