In Osun, the Youths and Students wing of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council in the State turned up massively in an engagement meeting to a favorable result in the coming general elections.

The engagement meeting held on Thursday at the Tinubu/Shettima campaign office in Osogbo, the State capital.

Personalities from 322 wards across the state, stated that Nigerian youths deserve a better nation that brings desired affluence and opportunities for the youths.

The youth insisted that it is the dream of everyone to have a better Nigeria, stating that the only candidate that can make this happen is the presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

In his address, the Chairman of the wing, Ayodele David Asalu said the interaction with stakeholders is very crucial to the success of the party in the February election.

“This important interaction between a very strategic directorate and ward youth leaders who are key stakeholders in the Party is a major move towards ensuring the victory of our great Party at the February 25 Presidential Poll.

Understanding that Youths and Students form a large and critical percentage of the voting population, we as a Directorate are aware of the enormity of the task ahead of us and are therefore committing all of our capacity to ensure that we interface with every youth group, youth organization or youth stakeholder anywhere they may be in the State.

“I must also add that part of the tasks ahead of us is ensuring that Osun State, being a Yoruba State, contributes a significant amount of votes to the pool of votes that will make Asiwaju President.

“Commence collective rebuttal of the negative narratives that agents of evil are pushing against the person of our candidate and his running mate. Massive recruitment of youths and students into the support base of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and making them agents of mobilization themselves, to ensure that we take up the vast majority of voting youths in our State through the Wards.”

Asalu also called on APC youths to ensure they sensitise electorates around them on the need to ensure they collect their permanent voters cards.

While speaking, Osun APC youth leader, Goke Akinwemimo called on Nigerian youths to see Tinubu as the man with best credentials to make Nigeria better.

Hon. Goke also emphasized on the youth’s impact, he said their support is indeed needed and their role cannot be overemphasized. He appreciated their presence and appealed them for the past mistakes and urged them to support the party’s senatorial, presidential, and other upcoming elections.

Hon Adegbile went further to say that the past APC leaders might be wrong but since the emerge of Governor Oyetola in the office till his defeat, many things has been corrected by putting the youth in place and this stirred up a reaction from the youths in the house which was relieved with an apology.
