The vice presidential candidate for the All Progressive Congress (APC) political party represented the Presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

For the event, Shettima, who regularly wears native attires, wore a suit and paired it with a pair of sneakers, a combination Nigerians found fault with.
