Kaduna Youths Urge PDP To Pick Sen. Laah As Running Mate To Ashiru

A group, Southern Kaduna Concerned Youths, has urged the Peoples Democratic People (PDP) in Kaduna State to pick Sen. Danjuma La’ah as running mate to the party’s governorship candidate, Isah Ashiru.

La’ah, who represents Kaduna South, is the Deputy Minority Whip in the Senate.

 

In a statement issued in Kafanchan on Thursday, Chairman of the group, Samuel Adamu, said the choice of Laah would guarantee victory for the party at the general elections in 2023.

 

Adamu explained that La’ah was a grassroots politician who was very popular in Southern Kaduna “where the deputy governor is traditionally picked from”.

He described La’ah as a loyal party man who had remained in the PDP despite immense pressure to defect to the APC.

 

According to him, the only way the PDP can reward Laah’s loyalty is for him to be on the ballot as Ashiru’s running mate for the 2023 polls.
