Gunmen Reportedly Set Police Station, Vehicles Ablaze In Anambra

Gunmen attacked and set a police station and vehicles ablaze in Anaku in Ayamelum Local Government Area of Anambra State.

 

The hoodlums hours after killing seven persons on Sunday in Anambra, killed another four in two other locations in Ogbunike, Oyi Local Government Area of the state.

 

Seven persons were killed in various communities across the state by gunmen including a mother and four siblings.

 

According to The Nation, the gunmen invaded a cow market in the Ogbunike.

 

One other person was killed in Peter Obiā€™s Agulu community in Anaocha Local Government Area, where a patrol van was also set ablaze.

The State Police spokesman, Ikenga Tochukwu, declined to comment on the incidents.

 

But another police source confirmed the Anaku incident.
