Chelsea suffered a humbling 1-4 defeat to struggling Brentford at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Chelsea took the lead on 48 minutes when N’Golo Kante passed to Antonio Rudiger, who blasted a magnificent long-range drive that flew in off the left post, leaving the goalkeeper helpless.
Two minutes later, the visitors equalized. Bryan Mbeumo’s brilliant pass found Vitaly Janelt. He took a stride inside his man on the edge of the box and unleashed a shot into the left side of the goal.
Four minutes later, Brenford made it 1-2, from superb work from Bryan Mbeumo, who played a vital role in the build-up. He squared it to Christian Eriksen, who beat Edouard Mendy with a brilliant shot into the top of the net.
Brentford got their third goal from Vitaly Janelt, who collected a pass and from inside the box lifted the ball over Edouard Mendy, who was off his line.
Three minutes to duration Yoane Wissa completed Chelsea’s debacle, as he fired the rebound inside the left post after the ball broke to him in the box. CONTINUE READING…
