APC Didn’t Win 2018 Guber Election – Ex-Deputy Speaker Lasun Alleges, Declares Nobody Can Stop His 2022 Governorship Ambition

Honorable Lasun Yusuf, a former Deputy Speaker of House of Representatives on Thursday declared that nobody “born of a woman” can stop him from contesting the 2022 governorship election in Osun State.

The ex-deputy speaker also alleged that his party, the All Progressives Congress, didn’t win the 2018 governorship election which brought the serving governor, Adegboyega Oyetola into office.

He said, “Nobody born of a woman can do to me what they did to me in 2018. My party, the APC did not win the Osun State Governorship election,” Lasu said this while speaking to the media at the APC National Secretariat, in Abuja, on Thursday.

Recall VAM News reported that Lasun declared his intention to battle Governor Oyetola for 2022 gubernatorial ticket of the APC in Osun State.

The former lawmaker came second behind Oyetola during the 2018 governorship primaries of the APC.

He was at the secretariat to purchase his Governorship expression of interest and nomination forms.

Lasun also revealed that the current Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, was compensated for his current office because of the role he played in the Osun APC primary.

Previously last month, APC announced that governorship forms for Osun and Ekiti state elections will be sold at N22.5m.
