The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has warned the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke against the alleged victimisation of local government workers over their political affiliations.

The warning was contained in a statement issued by the party’s Director of Media and Information, Kola Olabisi.

According to the statement, the state government has subjected some local government employees to investigation and disciplinary proceedings for allegedly supporting the APC during the August 15, 2026 governorship election.

The party alleged that the Osun State Local Government Service Commission has set up a committee to investigate workers suspected of supporting the opposition during the election. It claimed the committee is chaired by Tunji Adeleke Jnr, who is the governor’s nephew and Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission.

The APC further alleged that some workers have been summoned to appear before an investigative and disciplinary panel at the Commission’s premises in the State Secretariat, Abere, Osogbo.

It said the affected workers were questioned about their political activities and contacts before and during the election, and expressed concern over the alleged examination of their mobile phones. The party claimed some workers were directed to submit their phones for scrutiny, with messages and communications allegedly checked for links to APC members and supporters.

“It is inhuman, barbaric, and unconstitutional for you to victimise and dehumanise LG workers based on their political affiliation,” the party said.
