THE ACCORD Party has formally inaugurated its Ondo State Executive Council, with Hon. Adegoriola Adewale Steve and Professor Olugbenga Ige saddled with the responsibility to pioneer and lead the party to success in the state under the national Chairman, Barrister Obinali Mgbudem Maxwell.
The inauguration, which took place in Akure, marks a significant milestone in the party’s expansion and grassroots mobilization efforts ahead of future elections in Ondo State.
Speaking at the event, party leaders expressed confidence in the capacity, experience, and integrity of Hon. Adegoriola Adewale Steve and Prof. Olugbenga Ige to drive the party’s vision of inclusive governance, people-oriented policies, and sustainable development in Ondo State.
Hon. Adegoriola Adewale Steve, appointed to provide political direction and grassroots coordination, and Professor Olugbenga Ige, tasked with providing intellectual leadership and strategic guidance, are expected to work collaboratively with the newly inaugurated State Executive Council to build a strong, united, and formidable party structure across the 18 Local Government Areas of the state.
In his remarks, Hon. Adegoriola Adewale Steve appreciated the party’s national leadership for the trust reposed in them. He pledged to lead with transparency, inclusiveness, and commitment to the welfare of Ondo citizens.
“Our mandate is clear: to build ACCORD Party from the grassroots up, give the people a credible alternative, and ensure that Ondo State experiences purposeful and accountable leadership,” he said.
Also speaking, Professor Olugbenga Ige emphasized the need for issue-based politics and youth engagement. He noted that the party will prioritize innovation, education, economic empowerment, and good governance as key pillars of its agenda in the state.
The State Executive Council was duly constituted with representatives drawn across the senatorial districts, reflecting the party’s commitment to diversity, competence, and grassroots representation.
The ACCORD Party leadership called on all members, stakeholders, and the people of Ondo State to support the new executive in its mission to reposition the party and contribute meaningfully to the socio-economic development of the state.
