OsunDecides2026: Accord Chairman Directs Mass Mobilisation To Collation Centres Amid Adeleke’s Lead

THE Osun State Chairman of Accord Party, Pastor Victor Babalola Akande, has ordered all party leaders across the 30 local government areas to proceed immediately to collation centres to protect the votes cast for Governor Ademola Adeleke.

In a statement released on Friday, August 15, 2026, Pastor Akande said the directive was necessary to ensure that the “overwhelming victory” already recorded for Governor Adeleke at polling units is not compromised during the collation process.

He urged Accord leaders to demonstrate leadership by standing with the people and ensuring that every vote is duly counted.

“It is time to show leadership and protect the mandate of our people. It is our collective duty to protect the votes freely cast by the good people of Osun State,” he said.

The Chairman added that the victory belongs not just to Accord or Governor Adeleke, but to the people of Osun who spoke clearly at the polls.

“We must remain vigilant, peaceful and committed throughout the collation process. The victory we have secured is not merely a victory for Accord or for Governor Adeleke; it is a victory for the good people of Osun State who have spoken clearly through their votes,” he stated.

Pastor Akande further called on party members and supporters to remain calm, law-abiding and peaceful, while insisting on the integrity of the electoral process.

He expressed confidence that the will of the people would prevail and that the mandate renewed for Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke would be upheld at the end of collation.
