STATEMENT FROM THE OJOMU OF IDANRE.

The Ojomu of Idanre, High Chief Akinloye Akinboni, has expressed his heartfelt condolences to all the good people of Idanre following the passing into eternity of the Lisa of Idanre, who also served as the Regent of the community.

He described the death of the sage as a profound loss, not only to the royal institution, but to the entire good people of Idanre Kingdom, noting that the late High Chief Lisa and Regent played a significant role in maintaining stability, tradition and unity within the land.

High Chief Akinloye Akinboni extended his sympathies to the immediate family of the deceased, the Ugha traditional council and all sons and daughters of Idanre at this difficult time. He urged the people to remain calm, peaceful and united, emphasizing that this is a moment that calls for collective strength and harmony.

In furtherance of this, High Chief Akinloye Akinboni announced that he will be convening a meeting of all High Chiefs and key political leaders in Idanre to deliberate on the way forward, including arrangements to formally engage and support the family of the deceased.

He reassured the people of Idanre of his commitment to preserving peace, stability and continuity in leadership, while praying for the peaceful repose of the departed soul.
