The committee has two weeks to complete its work and submit its report to the Minister. It can also invite experts, access relevant documents and facilities, visit locations connected to the incident and receive information from members of the public.
Government warned that anyone who destroys or conceals evidence, intimidates witnesses or obstructs the investigation will face serious consequences.
