A REBUTTAL: THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE MUST PREVAIL, HON. ADEREMI OYEWOLE IS THE RIGHTFUL WINNER

An Appeal to the National Chairman and State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC)

The attention of the good people of Idanre and members of the All Progressives Congress has been drawn to a publication titled “A Passionate Appeal for Justice, Fairness and Adherence to the Will of the People on the Idanre State House of Assembly Ticket.”

We consider it necessary to respond and to make our position absolutely clear: the APC must not allow itself to be misled by a self-serving narrative designed to overturn the legitimate outcome of the primary election and deny the rightful winner his mandate.

Let it be stated without ambiguity that Hon. Aderemi Oyewole is the rightful winner of the APC primary election for the Idanre State Constituency. He is the candidate who enjoys genuine grassroots acceptance and widespread popularity among APC members and voters across Idanre Local Government.

Any attempt by any individual to manipulate the process after the election, rewrite the outcome, or claim what was not won through the ballot amounts to an attempt to subvert the mandate freely given by the people. Such an action must be rejected by the party leadership.

We therefore urge the National Chairman and the Ondo State Chairman of the APC to disregard this latest attempt to create confusion and controversy around the Idanre State House of Assembly ticket. The party leadership should stand firmly on the outcome of the primary election and protect the integrity of the democratic process.

Hon. Aderemi Oyewole is the candidate with the strongest grassroots support in Idanre Local Government. His popularity is not based on propaganda or manufactured claims; it is reflected in his acceptance among the people and his ability to mobilise support across all wards.

If the APC is serious about winning the Idanre State Constituency and delivering victory for the party, then the leadership must present the candidate who truly enjoys the confidence of the people. That candidate is Hon. Aderemi Oyewole.

The APC cannot afford to sacrifice the will of its members for the personal ambitions of individuals. The party must not reward attempts to overturn the people’s choice. The credibility of the party depends on respecting the outcome of its own democratic processes.

We therefore call on:

1. The National Chairman of the APC to uphold the result of the primary election and ensure that the rightful winner is recognised.

2. The Ondo State Chairman of the APC to resist every attempt to manipulate or distort the outcome of the election.

3. The party leadership at all levels to disregard the claims contained in the said publication and uphold the authentic outcome of the primary election.

4. All APC members in Idanre to remain calm and united in defence of the mandate freely given to Hon. Aderemi Oyewole.

The APC must remember that the people are the ultimate stakeholders in any democratic process. Their choice must be respected, their mandate must be protected, and their votes must not be stolen through backdoor arrangements.

We believe that justice, fairness, and the interest of the APC are best served by recognising Hon. Aderemi Oyewole as the rightful winner and candidate of the party for the Idanre State House of Assembly Constituency.
