BREAKING: Victor HenryBless Attempts to Shatter Guinness World Record for Longest Lecture Marathon in Physics

NEWS UPDATE

Since around midnight on Monday, 13 July 2026, Victor HenryBless has been delivering a non-stop Physics lecture marathon at the Mobolaji Johnson Vocational Centre, Abule-Ijesha, Yaba, Lagos — an ICT Hub founded by the City Profs Educational Foundation (CPEF).

As a fellow instructor at the Centre, I can personally attest to Victor’s exceptional dedication. He is a phenomenal educator who excels at preparing students for higher education and mentoring the next generation.

According to Centre Coordinator, Comrade Oluwole David, the record attempt is still ongoing. We call on:
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, The Lagos State and Federal Governments
Educational Agencies Conglomerates and Philanthropic Individuals, to recognize this rare dedication and provide the necessary support and funding for more research, faculty development, and educational initiatives.

The current Guinness World Record for the Longest Marathon Lecture stands at 139 hours, 42 minutes, and 56 seconds, set by Arvind Mishra (India) at Graphic Era University, Dehradun, from March 1–7, 2014 Guinness world records. A Professor/Lecturer in a College of Health Sciences, Osun State, Dr. Insikak Akpan in September, 2024 who surpassed the initial record was eventually disqualified on timing and evaluation.
