FRSC Begins 3-Day ‘Operation Sanitty’ Patrol in Osun To Curb Road Crashes

THE Federal Road Safety Corps, RS11.1 Osun Sector Command, has commenced a three-day monthly Special Intervention Patrol aimed at reducing road traffic crashes across the state.

The exercise, themed “Operation Sanitty”, began on Monday, July 20, and will run through Wednesday, July 22, 2026.

This was disclosed in a statement made available to newsmen in Osogbo by the Sector Public Education Officer, SRC Agnes Ogungbemi.

According to the statement, the operation is targeted at drastically reducing crashes caused by overloading, route violations, and excessive speeding.

To achieve this, the Corps said it would embark on intensified enforcement, robust public enlightenment campaigns, stakeholder engagement, and improved operational visibility in all parts of Osun State.

The Sector Commander, Corps Commander Sunday Tayo Adebayo, urged all motorists, transport operators, and other road users to comply with traffic rules and regulations.

He also advised them to avoid dangerous driving practices and to cooperate with FRSC personnel throughout the duration of the exercise.

The Command reiterated its commitment to ensuring safer roads and protecting lives and property during the special intervention period.
