‘Zero Service Delivery’: Osun People Have Lost Confidence in Adeleke’s Government, Says APC Campaign DG

News Update

THE Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Osun State Gubernatorial Campaign Council, Hon. Oluwole Oke, has disclosed that Osun residents have lost confidence in Governor Ademola Adeleke’s administration, particularly in the education sector.

The campaign DG claimed that Governor Adeleke’s government has performed poorly in terms of service delivery and value addition.

Oke, a five-term member of the House of Representatives representing Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency, made the statement on Tuesday during a media chat with the Osun Online Publishers Association at the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Office in Osogbo.

He further alleged that Adeleke has reduced his public appearances in Osun state and social engagements, spending more time in Lagos state, saying because he is aware of the political reality awaiting him at the polls.

“It is about strategy, engagement, and telling the people of Osun that they deserve better. It is about convincing them that the incumbent government has not been fair to them. They have failed and squandered the people’s resources,” Oke said.

Highlighting Specific Failures

Oke pointed to the state of public schools and rural infrastructure, noting that farmers can no longer confidently send their children to public schools because they have lost faith in government institutions.

He also lamented the lack of clean water, stating that people currently resort to streams contaminated with disease-causing organisms for drinking water.

He promised that the APC will put an end to that by developing surface water resources, refurbishing dams, and resetting the water infrastructure to provide quality, potable drinking water.

According to Oke, every citizen in Osun is practically a government unto themselves because they provide their own water, generate their own electricity, patronise private hospitals, and send their children to private schools, yet they are still required to pay taxes. He questioned the benefit of the government to its citizens under such circumstances.

Oke emphasized that the APC’s campaign remains issue-based, critiquing the quality of recent infrastructure projects under the current administration.

He noted that the party addresses matters of governance rather than speaking carelessly, establishing that the current government is not doing enough for the people.

Regarding roads, he argued that many of those constructed are poorly executed, citing the Ota-Ile–Ilare–Esa-Odo road as an example where parts are washed away whenever it rains. On the basis of service delivery and value addition, he scored the government zero.

He concluded by predicting a definitive exit for the governor, assuring the public that voters will oust the administration on the 15th of August, 2026.
