New Osun FRSC sector commander assumes office

News Update

THE Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, has appointed Mr Sunday Adebayo as the new Sector Commander for Osun State.

This is contained in a statement issued on Monday in Osogbo by the command’s spokesperson, Mrs Agnes Ogungbemi.

Ogungbemi described Adebayo as a seasoned officer with extensive experience in road safety administration, traffic management, and stakeholder engagement.

She noted that his dedication to the corps’ mandate earned him the confidence of the FRSC Corps Marshal, Mr Mohammed Shehu, who approved his posting to the state.

According to her, the new Sector Commander is committed to ensuring effective service delivery in the state.

NAN reports that Adebayo takes over from Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) Leye Adegboyega, who was promoted and redeployed as Zonal Commanding Officer in Bauchi.

Meanwhile, Adebayo upon assumption of duty expressed appreciation to the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, for the confidence placed in him.

“I am grateful to the Corps Marshal for this opportunity to serve. I remain committed to upholding the core values of the Corps through discipline, professionalism and teamwork,” he said.

He emphasised the importance of sustained public education, strict enforcement of traffic laws, and stronger collaboration with stakeholders in the transport sector.

He assured motorists and other road users of the Command’s continued dedication to safer roads and urged full compliance with traffic regulations to enhance safety across the state.
