Members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Idanre Local Government have endorsed a unified political direction, adopting Fasoranti, Adefisoye, and Aderemi as consensus candidates.
The decision was reached during a well-attended meeting of union members and stakeholders, where the need for unity and strategic alignment ahead of forthcoming political activities was strongly emphasized.
Speaking at the gathering, the two union chairmen, Mr. Ilesanmi Akinuli, popularly known as Ilu, and Alhaji Saliu Jolayomi, reaffirmed the commitment of NURTW members to support credible and widely accepted candidates. They stressed the importance of avoiding internal divisions and presenting a common front in the interest of Idanre’s development.
The motion for the adoption of the trio as consensus candidates was formally moved and seconded by both chairmen, drawing unanimous approval from members present at the meeting.
According to the union leaders, the endorsement reflects confidence in the candidates’ leadership qualities, grassroots support, and dedication to the progress of Idanre Local Government.
The union also urged party members and the general public to align with the decision, emphasizing that unity remains critical to achieving electoral success and sustainable development in the area.
