THE David Mark-led African Democratic Congress (ADC) has expelled its former Deputy National Chairman, Nafiu Bala Gombe, alongside House of Representatives member, Leke Abejide, and three other party members.
The decision was announced on Tuesday during the party’s National Congress in Abuja.
Others expelled include Kenneth Ehiator, Stella Chukwu, and Elias Adiukwu.
The expulsion comes amid a deepening leadership crisis within the ADC, as Nafiu Bala continues to insist he remains the party’s authentic National Chairman, despite reports that he had earlier resigned as Deputy National Chairman.

Bala, alongside Abejide, had recently led a protest to the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), where they called on prominent politicians including Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and David Mark to stay away from the party, alleging plans to hijack its structure.
The internal dispute has further intensified the party’s crisis, which has also triggered legal actions affecting INEC’s recognition of its leadership.
