Inter-house Sports: AMBO Ally, Hon. Kazeem Oladejo Donates 500 Customized Exercise Books, Cash to Ifon-Erin Community High School

…Says LG committed to grassroots development

…as Council Bosses, Ogunfolaju, Omolaoye, Gazali, Oloyede, others donate cash for sports development

In his spirit to continuously promote quality education and sporting activities among the students, Orolu South Area Council Chairman, Hon. Kazeem Oladejo popularly called (WELFARE), on Wednesday donated 500 customized exercise books and cash to Ifon-Erin Community High School, Ifon-Osun, in honour of the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the forthcoming governorship election in the state, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji popularly called AMBO.

The presentations were made at the bi-annual Inter-house Sports competition of the school held within the school premises, in Ifon-Osun, Osun state.

This is even as Chairman Ayedaade LCDA, Hon. Christiana Sola Ogunfolaju, Chairman Olorunda Area Council, Hon. Felicia Omolaoye, Chairman Olorunda LCDA, Hon. Kazeem Gazali (Kasmo), Chairman Irepodun LCDA Hon. Adekunle Kamali Oloyede and Hon. Funso Olateju donated generously for the development of the school.

Recall that Hon. Oladejo, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress and ardent grassroots mobilizer and canvasser for AMBO’s emergence has been contributing significantly to the growth and development of his immediate community in particular and by extension the entire council overtimes as manifested in series of developmental strides made through him.

Addressing the people at the inter-house sports competition, Hon. Oladejo described the gesture as part of his resolve to continuously advancing the cause of education system and raise the bar of sporting activities at the grassroots.

Oladejo who lamented the state of education system in the state reassured that no efforts would be spared by the council to revive the education sector at the grassroots.

According to him, the sorry-state of education system in Osun has become the cynosure of all eyes hence the need for all and sundry to contribute significant quota towards revamping the palpable decadence.

Oladejo who was the Green House Bearer/Patron at the sports competition said the council would soon commence the full implementation of people-focused and masses-driven developmental projects that would rekindle people’s hope and impact directly in their lives.

“As an ex-student of Ifon-Erin Community High School, Ifon-Osun, during my time I participated in sports and won prizes for the school. This is the spirit that built us and which we live on till tomorrow. We were in this school and during our studentship, we got several prizes and won many accolades. This is what actually informed the decision to donate 500 exercise books (customized for AMBO) to support My leader and the governorship Candidate of our party, the All Progressive Congress,APC, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, AMBO.

“We all knew the state of education yesterday and we know it today. The whole world could attest to the swift interventions of the previous administrations to advance the cause of education system and we all know the negligence that the same sector is facing today – this is a pitiable situation. It is on the basis of this that we must all rise to the occasion and give whatever support towards the actualisation of quality education. So, i urge us all not to rest of our oars to ensure that our education system is revamped for the betterment of all and sundry.

“On our part, we shall continue to raise the bar of good governance at the grassroots through the implementation of timely and massive developmental projects across sectors particularly education, infrastructure, health, commerce and sports development”, Oladejo stated.

While commending the participating students of the inter-house sports competition, Honourable Oladejo admonished them to abstain from anything capable of mortgaging and jeopardizing their future.

He charged them to treasure and maximise their God-given talents and remain studious in their academic pursuit saying “this is the noble path to greatness”

Honourable Oladejo used the occasion to canvass support for the gubernatorial ambition of the APC standard bearer, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji AMBO saying “a vote for Oyebamiji is a vote of indellible imprint, progress and assured future of Osun”

Earlier in their separate remarks, Chairman Ayedaade LCDA, Hon. Christiana Sola Ogunfolaju, Chairman Olorunda Area Council, Hon. Felicia Omolaoye, Chairman Olorunda LCDA, Hon. Kazeem Gazali (Kasmo), Chairman Irepodun LCDA, Hon. Adekunle Kamali Oloyede and Hon. Funso Olateju commended the participating students urging them to continue to unleash their talents for the development of their immediate communities and the state at large.
