Osun LG Funds: Adeleke’s Crocodile Tears Can No Longer Hide Executive Lawlessness, Grassroots Sabotage – Ex-Osicol MD, Dr. Tunde Faleye

… Says Governor Adeleke Architect of his Executive Misfortune, Not Oyetola

…Oyebamiji Intellectually Prepared To Rescue Osun From Socioeconomic Collapse

The ongoing melodrama, lamentations, and media pity-play by Governor Ademola Adeleke over Osun Local Government funds amount to nothing more than blatant hypocrisy, deliberate misinformation, and calculated deceit. The facts are clear and incontrovertible: Governor Adeleke’s current predicament is entirely self-inflicted which is borne out of executive recklessness, abuse of power, and the manifest incompetence of his legal advisers, not the actions of His Excellency, Adegboyega Oyetola.

The Supreme Court judgment on Local Government autonomy is clear, final, and non-negotiable. Local Government funds are constitutionally meant for grassroots development, and no state governor has the legal, moral, or constitutional authority to hijack, interfere with, or control such funds.

Hence, Governor Adeleke must as a matter of fact, immediately desist from frustrating constitutionally recognised Local Government administrations across Osun State and to stop holding grassroots development hostage for partisan vendetta.

It is on record that Governor Adeleke has been running a family-controlled government as he has been using his nephew whom he unilaterally appointed as Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission as an instrument of political intimidation, harassment, and blackmail against members of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE).

It is unfortunate that civil servants are openly threatened with dismissal, victimisation, and career stagnation if they dare cooperate with duly elected APC Local Government chairmen and councillors.

What is happening in Osun today is nothing short of political witch-hunting and administrative terrorism.

Government has been turned into battlefields simply because the Governor cannot tolerate opposition control. While Governor Adeleke desperately parades himself as a victim before the media forgetting that he Adeleke is the chief architect of the paralysis, stagnation, and backwardness currently crippling Osun Local Governments.

No doubt, the Governor’s victim narrative is a smokescreen to conceal gross incompetence and deliberate sabotage of the grassroots.
Contrary to the Governor’s false and misleading claims, the Federal Government has not withheld Osun Local Government funds and the allocations have been fully released and paid consistently from February 2025 to date, only that Governor Adeleke has been playing dirty and destructive politics with resources meant for ordinary citizens. The real victims are the people at the grassroots whose development had been deliberately stalled.

The era of executive lawlessness and impunity in Osun State is drawing to a close as the Osun APC gubernatorial candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), is ready to reverse the damage, incompetence, and regression inflicted on the state by the Adeleke administration.

Oyebamiji is tested, trusted, competent, and intellectually prepared to rescue Osun State and reposition it for sustainable growth in education, healthcare, youth and women empowerment, agriculture, information technology, human capital development, and critical infrastructure.

Oyebamiji is going to implement policies capable of attracting investors and transforming Osun into a true economic hub hence the need for Osun residents and civil servants to rally behind a leader with a verifiable trackrecord.

It is on record that Oyebamiji resolved a major economic crisis within six months as Commissioner for Finance, served credibly as Managing Director of OSICOL, and delivered outstanding performance at the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA).

It is time for Osun electorate to reject blackmail, propaganda, and personal attacks orchestrated by Governor Adeleke and the PDP/ACCORD alliance, and to vote massively for competence, stability, and progress by electing Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) in the August 8, 2026 gubernatorial election.
