AFCON 2025: Morocco end Nigeria’s dream

Morocco will now face Senegal in the final of the competition.

Hosts Morocco, known as the Atlas Lions, booked their spot in the final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations on Wednesday after defeating the Nigerian Super Eagles.

Morocco secured the final berth following an intense encounter against Nigeria at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.

Wednesday night’s victory for the Atlas Lions ended the Super Eagles’ dream of winning this edition of the AFCON.

Morocco will now face Senegal in the final of the competition. Senegal had earlier defeated Egypt in their semi-final encounter.
