Oyebamiji hails wife, Dr Sekinah Bola-Oyebamiji as she emerges President, Osun Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria

Gubernatorial Candidate of the Nigeria’s ruling party – the All Progressives Congress, APC in the forthcoming governorship election in Osun State, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) has extolled his wife, Dr. Sekinah Bola-Oyebamiji on her induction (today) as the President of Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria, Osun State Chapter.

Oyebamiji described his spouse’s career feat as “a round peg in a round hole,” saying “you are a beacon of medical excellence, a pillar of our family and an inspiration to many.”

Dr. Sekinah Bola-Oyebamiji is a consummate medical professional who has devoted over a decade to the selfless fight against women’s cancers, bringing hope, healing and renewed strength to countless women within and beyond Nigeria as her clinical skill, tireless dedication and deep compassion continue to set a standard of excellence that inspires many.

Oyebamiji, in a congratulatory statement personally signed, expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for the endowment of a good wife whose immense contributions to homefronts and her medical profession can not be measured.

He hailed her for being a good, most reliable, dependable, honest and dedicated wife whose impacts in building a formidable support for the upbringing of her children and family cannot be quantified.

“Beyond the operating room, she is kindness personified, reliable, honest, courageous and full of life. To our home, she is a devoted wife and a mother-like partner, balancing a demanding career with unwavering love, prayer, resilience and sacrifice. Through her, our home is strengthened, nurtured and uplifted.

“By every measure, Dr Sekinah Bola-Oyebamiji is a true model of womanhood, and blending professionalism with warmth, ambition with humility and strength with grace. Her journey reminds us that true greatness lies not only in what one achieves, but in the heart with which it is done.

“My darling wife, you are a beacon of medical excellence, a pillar of our family and an inspiration to many. As you are installed today as President of the Osun State chapter of a remarkable and excellent medical association working for the well being of mankind, I proudly salute your hard work, consistency, perseverance and unwavering commitment to humanity”, he praised.

Dr Bola-Oyebamiji commenced her medical education at the University of Ibadan, where she obtained the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree.

Following her internship and National Youth Service, she undertook residency training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, driven by a passion for improving maternal and reproductive health outcomes. She subsequently completed specialist training at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, Ile-Ife, becoming a Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons, having passed all her examinations at the first sitting.

In further demonstration of her commitment to professional excellence, she earned the Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria, and later became a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, London, after successfully completing all prescribed international examinations.
