Ahead of the 2026 governorship election, the Osun State chapter of the ACCORD Party has officially affirmed Governor Ademola Adeleke as its 2026 gubernatorial candidate, following a peaceful and law-guided primary election held today.
The exercise commenced at exactly 10:00am this morning at the OASIS Event Centre, Agunbelewo, Osogbo, with the presence of officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) who arrived from Abuja to monitor the process.
Delegates from all local governments across the state were on ground early, ready to exercise their civic rights in what party leaders described as a historic moment for Osun ACCORD.
The primary election committee reiterated its commitment to due process backed by law, declaring ACCORD as the party with the most forward-thinking manifesto in Nigeria.
Officials urged delegates to maintain order and demonstrate why Osun remains the political stronghold of the ACCORD Party.
INEC monitored the exercise from start to finish.

Invalid votes: 5
At the conclusion of counting, Governor Ademola Adeleke secured an overwhelming endorsement, emerging as the official ACCORD gubernatorial candidate for the 2026 Osun election.
