Ondo: APC to launch e-membership register

News Update

THE Ondo state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has initiated steps to fully digitalise its membership register as part of efforts to strengthen internal data management and enhance party coordination ahead of future electoral engagements.

At the State Executive Committee (SEC) meeting held on Tuesday at the party’s Secretariat in Akure, leaders reviewed ongoing preparations for the electronic authentication of members across the 18 local government areas.

The session, chaired by the State APC Chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, reaffirmed the need for a secure, reliable and permanent digital record of all party faithful.

The party’s leadership also underscored the importance of delivering overwhelming support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reelection bid in 2027, stressing that accurate data will play a critical role in grassroots mobilisation.

Adetimehin told the gathering that the exercise would provide “the opportunity to obtain accurate and authentic membership records” for both national and state structures.

He urged party leaders at the local government and ward levels to treat the registration with utmost seriousness.

To ensure seamless implementation, the SEC approved the training of 18 resource persons—one from each local government who will subsequently train designated ward officials for comprehensive coverage across the state.

The digital rollout is expected to commence with the registration of the State Governor and leader of the party, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, which will formally flag off the statewide exercise.

A committee, headed by the State Organising Secretary, Hon. Charles Fagbohunka, has been constituted to drive the process and guarantee a hitch-free execution.
