Governor Adeleke, AMBO, Aregbesola, K-Rad, Olowu-Kuta, Abokede, Olagunju, AroleOrisun, Omo-Oloore, Others to Grace Osun Digital Media Week

Preparations for the 2025 edition of the Osun Digital Media Week are gaining significant momentum as prominent traditional rulers, government officials, media stakeholders, and influential personalities have confirmed participation in what has been described as the biggest digital media convergence in the state.

The event, organised by the Osun Online Publishers Association (OOPA) under the leadership of Mukhtar Ajelogbon is scheduled to hold a public lecture and free medical checkup on Thursday 4th December 2025 to bring together thought leaders and innovators across media, governance, technology, and civic engagement.

Among the notable dignitaries expected is governor Ademola Adeleke who is expected to lead other government functionaries; His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr) Adekunle Oyelude Makama (CON), Olowu of Kuta is expected to add royal depth and cultural prestige to the gathering as father of the day; Mrs Funmi Abokede who is the General Manager of Osun CSDA will be the Mother of the day.

The Secretary to the Osun State Government and Chief Bobagunwa of Osogboland, Hon. Teslim Igbalaye and the State Youth Commissioner, Hon Moshood Olagunju, who are expected at the event, focus on digital integration and public engagement in the technology-driven era.

Key political and administrative figures, including governorship aspirants in the All Progressive Congress (APC), Kunle Rasheed Adegoke (SAN) also known as K-Rad; Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO); the ADC governorship aspirant Dr Saliu Aroleorisun; the Managing Director of Nigeria Port Authority, Hon. Olalekan Badmus Omo-Oloore; the National Secretary of the Africa Democratic Congress (ADC) and former Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, have also been scheduled to participate, bringing perspectives from public administration, constituency representation, and local governance.

According to the organisers, the 2025 edition will focus on the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, Technology, and Credible Elections, aligning with evolving global trends and Nigeria’s growing digital media landscape to be delivered by the Osun state Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr Mutiu Agboke.

With the calibre of attendees and the strategic importance of the themes, this year’s Osun Digital Media Week is projected to set a new benchmark for digital media engagement in Osun State and the Southwest region.

Other activities in this year’s Digital Media Week include; Press Conference; Corporate Social Responsibility; and a Refresher Course for members of the Osun Online Publishers Association.
