Ondo Amotekun corps begins 5th batch recruitment for new personnel

THE Ondo State Security Network Agency, Amotekun Corps came into being on the 4th of March, 2020 via a Law of the Ondo State House of Assembly and an amendment on the 13th of July, 2022. The objectives of the Agency include but not limited to the following:

i. Systematically gather, document, evaluate and analyze data and information to convert actionable intelligence for tactical operational and strategic goals; Investigate and Prosecute suspects

ii. Collaborate with similar security network agencies in other States, including but not limited to Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ekiti and Lagos States to deter kidnapping, terrorism, cattle-rustling, destruction of farms and crops, destruction of livelihood, criminal damage to properties, human trafficking, cultism, highway robbery, sea piracy, oil bunkering and any other criminal offences and to assist other law enforcement agencies in apprehending such criminals;

iii. Protect lives and property within the State;

iv. Ensure that all persons travelling along the highways, major roads, remote areas, hinterland, forests, inland waterways, and sea are free to carry out their normal social and economic activities without fear or hindrance.

2. 5th Batch Recruitment Exercise (BR05)

In furtherance of the State Government’s commitment to the protection of lives and property of the good people of Ondo State, approval has been given to recruit regular officers into the Corps.

Criteria

Interested and suitable applicants should:

Be an indigene of Ondo State, or have resided in Ondo state for 10 years upwards of Yoruba extraction, with evidence of the following:

a. Local Government of Origin

b. Proof of payment of development levy for at least 3 years

c. National Identity Card or valid Voter’s Card

ii. Have cognate paramilitary/ security experience in addition to the following

a. Local Hunting, Artisanship in -Mechanical/Automobile Engineering, Building and Construction, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Plumbing and Fittings, Welding and Fabrication, Painting, Tailoring and Trade Test in Driving and Works Superintendent Course, ICT (Web Design, Graphics Design) etc.

b. Spiritually endowed

Not below the age of 20 and have recent proof of physical and mental fitness from a Government Hospital.

iv. Show proof of endorsement of good character from a Notary Public and Chairman of Local Government Traditional Council, or Justice of the Peace (JP).

v. Have been resident in any part of Ondo State for at least 10 years and not less than 3 years in his/her current home address with attestation from any member of his/her Community Development Association.

3. Method and Submission of Application

a. Interested persons who meet the above criteria should visit the Agency’s website at www.ossnamot.com as from Monday 1st of December, 2025 to Monday 8th of December 2025.

b. Completed forms with relevant credentials, attestations and documents should be submitted at the Command Headquarters in a sealed envelope addressed for the attention of the:

Corps Commander,
Ondo State Security Network Agency,
Command Headquarters,
Behind Reuben Fasoranti Park,
Alagbaka, Akure.

Submission of Forms ends on the 8th of December 2025, while shortlisted applicants shall be communicated via SMS as from the 8th of December 2025.
