Hon. Ibrahim Olanrewaju, the Senior Special Assistant on National Assembly Matters to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has significantly escalated his engagement in Ekiti State politics, particularly in preparation for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Primary Election scheduled for Monday, October 27, 2025.
Hon. Olanrewaju’s activities this past week highlight his role in mobilization and advocacy for Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s re-election bid, showcasing his commitment to the party’s success.

Kicking off the readiness campaign, the SSA appeared on a one-hour programme on Adaba FM on Wednesday, where he engaged the public on a range of crucial subjects, including national governance, the upcoming Primary Election in Ekiti, and general political discourse.

This was followed by an appearance on EKTV’s ‘Ejiire’ programme on Friday, October 24, 2025. During the television broadcast, Hon. Olanrewaju dedicated his discussion to articulating the compelling reasons for Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji to be re-elected as the Governor of Ekiti State, emphasizing his administration’s achievements and future vision.

On the same day, Friday, October 24, Hon. Olanrewaju held crucial meetings with several key stakeholders in Moba Local Government Area. These meetings were focused on mobilizing and preparing the party faithful for the subsequent Delegate Election held on Saturday.

Demonstrating his support for the grassroots structures, a token sum was reportedly sent to three Local Government Areas of his constituency. This financial assistance was specifically earmarked to ensure the comfort of members by providing them with water and other necessities during the delegate election.

Hon. Olanrewaju’s involvement culminated on Saturday, October 25, 2025, where he participated as one of the elected delegates. His participation in the process marks a direct contribution to selecting the party’s flag-bearer for the forthcoming election.
