The Osun State Government has appointed global Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, as the Chairman of the Osun State Sports Trust Fund.
This is in a bid to rejuvenate and sustainably finance the state’s sports development.
The initiative, according to the government, is designed to attract private and public sector investment to improve sports infrastructure and welfare for athletes across the state.
The Deputy Governor and Commissioner for Sports, Prince Kola Adewusi, made this known during a courtesy visit by the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Osun State chapter, to his office in Osogbo.
