The Ondo State Government, through the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, is proud to announce the maiden edition of the Sunshine Cultural Carnival, a historic celebration of the rich cultural heritage, creativity, and unity of the Sunshine State.

The carnival will hold from Thursday, 11th to Saturday, 13th December 2025 at the Ondo State Sports Complex in Akure, the state capital, and will feature an exciting array of cultural displays by indigenes across the 18 Local Government Areas, including traditional music and dance, colourful processions, arts and crafts exhibitions, indigenous cuisine, fashion showcases, and live performances that highlight the vibrant identity of Ondo State.

Speaking on the significance of the event, the Honourable Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. It will also foster unity among communities while celebrating the diversity and creativity that define the Sunshine State.
