News Update
THE immediate past Deputy Governor of Osun State and frontline governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), His Excellency Benedict Olugboyega Alabi (BOA), has continued his wide-reaching consultation tour ahead of the 2026 governorship election, receiving massive receptions and endorsements across Iwo and Ede Federal Constituencies.
In Iwo, BOA met with stakeholders from Iwo, Ayedire, and Olaoluwa local government areas where party faithful described the meetings as highly productive and unifying, pledging their loyalty and readiness to work with him in his governorship bid.
In Ede Federal Constituency, covering Ede North, Ede South, Ejigbo, and Egbedore, Alabi was received with warmth and solidarity, as party members affectionately renamed him “TA N WA, TA A RI” — meaning “the one we seek, the one we have found.” This symbolic gesture was widely seen as a strong reflection of the grassroots connection he enjoys and the deep trust reposed in his leadership.
Addressing the gatherings, Alabi reaffirmed his vision of unity and hope for Osun State, declaring that his campaign is built on humility, competence, and inclusivity. He pledged to prioritize education, youth empowerment, infrastructure renewal, agriculture, and transparent governance, assuring stakeholders that his leadership would consolidate the strength of the APC and restore Osun’s pride.
Leaders across both constituencies lauded his humility, accessibility, and proven record of service, describing him as the most prepared and credible candidate to lead the state.
Political observers note that Iwo and Ede are critical constituencies in Osun’s political landscape, and the massive turnout and enthusiastic endorsements witnessed during BOA’s consultations further consolidate his momentum as the leading candidate ahead of the APC primaries and the 2026 governorship election.
