Bankole Akinselure Foundation (BAF) Bags Leadership Award

THE Bankole Akinselure Foundation (BAF), under the leadership of philanthropist Hon. Bankole Akinselure, has been awarded the Leadership Merit Award in the Humanitarian category at the 2025 Focus Magazine Awards, in recognition of its humanitarian efforts.

This prestigious ceremony took place on Sunday, 31st of August, 2025, in Akure, the capital of Ondo State, Nigeria, celebrating the foundation’s impactful projects and outreach initiatives aimed at improving the welfare and rights of children throughout Nigeria.

The event saw the attendance of esteemed royal fathers, clergy, and numerous dignitaries from Ondo State, with BAF standing out as the only humanitarian group honored at the awards.

Comrade Ebenezer Akingunsola Dialogue, representing the head of the foundation, emphasized the significance of the award, stating, “This recognition is a signal that we are doing something right, and it sets higher expectations for us.” He dedicated the award to the children whose lives the foundation has touched and those who will benefit from future interventions.

Akingunsola reiterated the foundation’s commitment to ensuring that every child in Nigeria has access to quality healthcare, education, and safe learning environments, while also protecting their basic human rights. “Children are the most vulnerable population. It is our duty to protect, guide, and support them. They are seeds that must be planted, watered, nourished, and above all, protected for them to thrive.”

The Bankole Akinselure Foundation focuses on several key areas, including child health, child rights, and child education. Akingunsola expressed gratitude to Focus Magazine for recognizing the foundation’s efforts and presenting this esteemed award.

The award was presented by the Ondo State Hon. Commissioner for Water Resources Hon. Ayodele Akande, further highlighting the significance of this achievement. Members of the BAF Foundation, including Akinwa Afolabi (AFOD), Akindojutimi Olawande (WANDRUZ), and Abua Clifford Clement, were also present to celebrate this momentous occasion.

With this award, BAF reaffirms its dedication to advocating for the rights and welfare of children, ensuring that they have the opportunities and support they need to flourish.
